  6. Thanks everyone. Yes, she was a very lovely dog. Contrary to poular belief, German Shepherds can be very gentle. My girlfriend took her from a shelter almost 8 years ago. We never knew how old she really was. She was a very active dog. Until one month ago when we had to urgently had to let take away the spleen. After a succesful operation she recovered slowly, hoping the cancer wouldn't have spread. Unfortunately it did so we had to put her to sleep 2 days ago. It's a lot quiter and emptier here. It's hard for me but even more for my girlfriend as she was the 'boss' so to speak.

    im very sorry for your dog :(
    but hey she's gone knowing that she was with people who loved her and cared about her and thats the most important for a dog i think..
