No Trend - Too Many Humans LP

No Trend were one of the most controversial bands to rise out of the Washington hardcore scene. In fact, they didn't play hardcore at all. They had a style of their own with sarcastic lyrics on humanity. There is an interesting article on No Trend here, with explanations from ex-band members themselves on the whole idea of the band. Really worth reading.
Sadly, original guitarplayer Frank Price took his own life in 1989. He is considered to be the architect of No Trend's sound and philosophy.
No Trend went on to release three other albums with different line-ups, with vocalist Jeff Mentges as the only member who stayed from the beginning to the end.
Original pressing on No Trend Records; here the French pressing.

Too Many Humans LP (L'Invitation Au Suicide-S.D.6-1984)
1. Family Style
2. Blow Dry
3. Reality Breakdown
4. Kiss Ass To Your Peer Group
5. Fashion Tips For The 80's
6. Do As You're Told
7. Too Many Humans
8. For The Fun Of It All
9. Mindless Little Insects
10. Happiness Is...

Once again, fucking amazing album.

Actually I used to collect all releases from the French label, L'Invitation Au Suicide. I did manage to get quite far, though there are still gaps. They had some amazing bands, like early Christian Death, Circle X, Red Wedding, Party Boys etc.

The interesting thing is that they divided their catalogue in 3 separate parts.

SD1 - Christian Death - only theatre of pain
SD2 - Les Provisoires - loin de la plage
SD3 - Circle X - prehistory
SD4 - Christian Death - deathwish
SD5 - Christian Death - catastrophe ballet
SD6 - No Trend - too many humans
SD7 - Christian Death - ashes

Hi there,
thanks for the appreciation. I already ripped my copy of the Circle X LP. Expect it some time in the future. I personally would really like to hear that 3 Teens Kill 4 album. It's very hard to find nowadays.

Wow, great blog - based on your already impressive list (DCL Locomotive, Bone Orchard, Leather N, NO TREND) what will be next?!?
I´m desperately looking for some items from that era, THE SMASCHORDS - 12ep and AUSWEIS - Jours de haine ... if oyu could help with that, I could put up that 3 Teens Kill 4 - 12"?!?

It wouldn't be a problem ripping the 3 Teens Kill 4 LP, if I only knew how to do it. Can you tell me if there's any webpage with instructions for that kind of stuff ?

Thanks once again! One of my favorite bad-vibe records.

To the second anonymous; I already ripped the Smaschords 12" but expect a little background noise as the record's a bit warped. Don't have Ausweis though... I'll try to post the Smashchords this week.
And yes put up that 3 Teens Kill 4 record if possible.
To the latest anon; there are sites where you can download free software to rip from vinyl. You need a cable to connect from your stereo(tape out) to your PC.My friend Cranio found such free software so I can ask him.
I personally use Magix but that's a program you need to pay for.
Thank you all for the support.

You won't be disappointed Slobodan. A great record for one of those days that humans work on your nerve and think they're all idiots :)

Damn good too! And it gets even better the more you listen to it! Lol.
