The Capitols - s/t 7"

2nd in a series on the Cake label. 2 very short songs on this one. Pretty indie stuff in the C86 vein, with female vocals. The only 7" released on Cake.
Fans of the Shop Assistants might enjoy this one.

Can't believe you had this - rare indeed. Use to have it - heard from the Man himself.
Cheers for this.

Thanks Paul M. Once found a page on the net of Peter but it's gone. He also played violin on the 12" of The Atom Spies (as The Fifth Man) according to his myspace page.

Pete of the Capitols here, glad to see peoplke still liking this. Evertime was originally thought of as the A side btw. me and maria did The Cpitol;s for a while after the Nightingales went on hiatus. we also played together in Rumblefish. Cake was a label I founded with Fuzz townshend of Pigbros and later Pop Will Eat Itself. I'd love a copy of our Peel session if anyone has it. We occasionally get approached by people to put out capitols stuff-there is more unreleased stuff including our second single 'Grimness' which never emerged. I play guitar with John Robb's band Goldblade these days as well as the recently reformed Membranes. I was in UK Subs for a short while too,. as well as in the reformed Nightinglaes for a while. I also have a band with maria called G.o.r.g.e.o.u.s who have made two albums and do some Capitols songs in the set. Whew, I'll shut up now! pPeter x
