Marc Riley With The Creepers - Fancy Meeting God ! LP

Someone asked for some more Marc Riley. Here's the second album and one of their best. While the early records still had a big The Fall influence, this one shows more a sound of their own.
'Fancy Meeting God' is the last release as Marc Riley With The Creepers. After this one (and a line-up change) they shortened their name to The Creepers. Don't have any of the records released as The Creepers.

Do you know if anyone has posted any Blue Orchids or Chameleons? Also someone did a Terminal Cheesecake LP, but I could never get it to open. Do you have anything by the aforementioned to share? Cheers.

Perhaps I'll stick some of the Creepers stuff on Multiply. My favourite of all the records is definitely the "Warts N All" live album though.

"Rock n Roll Liquorice Flavour", the last LP they released, is a great record, albeit a lot slicker than the rest of them (and produced by Jon Langford of the Three Johns and Mekons).

hi there. i've been a dedicated follower of this blog for months. i loved this stuff in the eighties, and it has all but disappeared now. anyway, i thought perhaps i should mention that i've tried at least a dozen times over the last few days to download the marc riley lp without success. i haven't had a similar problem with other files posted at mediafire. The "click here" link appears, but for some reason the download never starts. has anyone else reported this problem? i'm a big fan of the early fall, but don't have this album and would love to hear it. wm2007

It has been up and down and up several times. I'll try to upload again ASAP.

dear curious guy -- thanks! i will keep trying. but permit me to ask: do you mean that you have had to keep uploading the files for your posts repeatedly? that must be a lot of work! it gives me a new appreciation for your efforts. again, thank you for letting me and your other readers hear so much of this unjustly neglected music. -- wm

It's weird but it happened before. I uploaded it again but get the same link for the same file so that doesn't help. Need to wait till mediafire solves the problem.

curious guy -- thanks for giving it a shot. perhaps later it will work.

in the meantime, i'm playing (and enjoying) "girth" by noseflutes right now, thanks to you. i remember the days when records like these were all over the used bins of the local stores, and i took them for granted. i bought many to try them out, but to my regret left many behind. now you hardly ever see them. but fortunately, we have the internet and generous music fans like you. thank you again. wm.

For some reasons it does not seem to work... I'll try later... thanks for the post!

Almost 4 in the afternoon European time and the link is working!

still not working here. i'll try again later. i'm guessing it's some problem with mediafire's server. thanks again. wm
