Hound God With A Tumour

Hound God With A Tumour was Harry Stafford's project after the Inca Babies split up. I suppose this band only had 2 members. Drums were replaced by a drum machine. The songs are still in the well known Inca Babies style. No further info to be found on Hound God With A Tumour. Released on John Robb's Vinyl Drip label.

Ah, I saw this lot a couple of times - once at the Lady Owen Arms in Islington, and again in Harlow, I think. Ajay from Dandelion Adventure (and subsequently Donkey, and currently the Bent Moustache) used to stand stage left and smack the shit out of bathtub with a pair of drumstick, which I suppose would have made him the "percussionist".

Yes.. makes me think of Ajay bashing a beer barrel.

Saw Harry a few years back, and he was on good form.

Thanks for the comments guys! I guessed that HGWAT was more of a project but as they played live I should consider them a real band. So how many people were involved then?

Dear Curious Boy, You can't imagine how happy I’m with your blog. I used to be a fan of these music when I was a tenager in the end of the 80’s / begening of the 90’s. (And of course I’m still a fan of these.) There are lots of bands what I’ve heard about in those days, but it was unachievable to get the records in Hungary, we’ve got only the noted ones, like the Bauhaus, Banshees, etc. I’m tring to complement my collection in the last yers. So thank You once again! An other thing: I know there is not a wish list, but could you grab The Moon Looked Down And Laughed from the Virgin Prunes? I’m hunting for this despairing for years.
But OK, I'm happy with most of your posts anyway. Thanks, Levi, Budapest

Hello Levi, well that's one album of the Virgin Prunes that I don't have. Sorry! Have all the early stuff but it has been reissued.

Hurrah, my computer is fixed and I could finally download this. Very cool post - thanks Curious Guy!. Watch for the INCA BABIES "Evil Hour" LP on Texas Jumblesales very soon unless someone beats me to it of course.

In answer to the question above, I remember them as a four piece - two guitars, bass, percussion and a drum machine. But my memory is hazy.

Thanks for the answer! I'm watching the blog day to day. All the best! Levi
