Corpus Delicti - The Joy Of Living 12"
The third and last installment of the Mystic postpunk releases is from Corpus Delicti. They were a 5-piece probably from the Hollywood area as well.
Corpus Delicti also released a 2-track 7" in 1985 which is a promo for their next album but as far as I know, this album was never released.
Not to be confused with the 90's goth rock band.
The Joy Of Living 12" (Mystic Records-M124520-1984)
1. Child Child
2. Memories Linger
3. Psycho On Saturday
4. Why's It Like This?
5. No Conflict

muchas gracias bro!
Sounds interesting. Thanks for sharing!
Interesting indeed.
I always considered 90s Delicti to be a goth rock band though.
Hey, thanks for this! I remember fondly listening to this particular album in High School (1985 probably).
Speaking of my highschool listening habits, any chance you have anything by the band The Bonemen of Burumba? I've been trying to track them down again for some time now!
Anon, never heard the 90's band o my mistake.
Bandophone, you can find the Bonemen Of Barumba 10" here:

Ah! Great Thanks! I'm also looking for their LP called ICONS if that should turn up somewhere.
Here's a couple of videos from that album:

Haven't seen the LP on a blog for now. I don't have it myself as well.
Like the anonymous I considered that band as a goth one. I had forgotten that guys, forbidden from my mind...
Thanks a lot, great blog, great
job!!!
Another theme. You know about a french band called Lucy Cries? May be in the same place of my mind with CC...
The 90's band is a very strange one. The music changes around alot in their music. This band had a better sound to them. I will look here too, but think anyone has a copy of Last Man In Europe- Songs From The Ark. Iam fishing the blogs too see if it will show up. I remember asking about the EP-Frequenz album, then it showing up on here almost istantly. So, you never know..:)
TymexPyres
That Last Man In Europe album is one I would like to hear myself.
Well, perhaps if we are lucky it will show up. I like the 'certain bridge' alot. The lp can only be as good. Let us sit and wait..
I was lucky enuff to see this band play back in the day, a very unique band i must say. I also have the Joy of Living album that one of the band members gave me at a gig.Its great lstening.
Great post! I can't tell how long I have been searching for someone to upload this album. I own this record but I don't own a record player. So, I bought this LP sometime ago and never had a chance to listen to it. This band has a myspace...except I think they go by Corpus Delecti because the more popular French goth band probably has it registered. Any chance somebody stumbled across their 1985 LP the Gooze
Any way we could get a reup of this great work? :D
Not on my HD anymore. Will take some time to re-up so have a bit of patience. Thx.
New link. Enjoy!
